Institute of Applied and Mathematical Linguistics

The Institute trains future academics and researchers offering the degree programmes in:

• Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (Bachelor of Linguistics)
• Theoretical, Applied and Experimental Linguistics (Master of Linguistics)
• Applied and Mathematical Linguistics (Doctor of Linguistics and Literary Studies)

The Institute, headed by Prof. Radmonga K. POTAPOVA, is known not just as a school of professional education, but also as a major research centre and set of laboratories specialising in areas such as Fundamental and Applied Speech Sciences, Forensic Phonetics, Linguistically-based Information Protection, Linguistic Pragmatics, Psychophysiology, Robotics and more.

The Institute is an active participant and co-organiser of SPECOM (Speech and Computer) international conferences.
