My internship at Toyama University in Japan runs from April 6 to August 31, 2022. I became much more fluent and confident in speaking Japanese, learned a lot about the language and culture, and was able to hone the skills that I lacked before the internship.

UN cooperation
Salima Valieva, graduate of the MSLU Training Program for Candidates for the Competitive Language Examinations, was enrolled in the UN roster to work on a freelance basis, having passed UN Interpreter Global Language Roster Exam to work in the Russian Section of the UN Interpretation Service with English and Spanish.

Double Degree Program: Iranian Students at MSLU
Arman Chegeni, Mohsen Hayat and Milad Hasanalizadeh, students of Allameh Tabatabaei University (Iran) are completing their term-long studies at our university within the framework of the double diploma program in the joint educational program "Foreign Regional Studies".

Mongolian State University: New Partnership
In April, a Memorandum of Understanding and an Additional Student Exchange Agreement were signed between Moscow State Linguistic University and Mongolian State University. Within the framework of these documents, the parties will have the opportunity to exchange students annually.

Online Workshop on Translation
On April 4, a virtual mock conference on consecutive interpreting was held, attended by teachers and students of the MSLU Training Programme for Candidates for the Competitive Language Exams, the Caspian Higher School of Translation and the St. Petersburg Higher School of Translation, as well as Russell Duffin, head of the Official Documents Translation Service of International Labor Organization and an Oxford graduate.

MSLU Double Degree Program
On March 10, 2022, Marina Sokolova, graduate of the English Faculty Master's program, now a lecturer at Moscow State Linguistic University, received a diploma from the University of Bayreuth under the Double Degree Program, implemented jointly with MSLU. She studied at the University of Bayreuth for 6 months, majoring in "Language - Interaction - Culture".

Remote simultaneous interpreting training with UN interpreters
From March 14 to March 18, 2022, the students of the Training Programme for Candidates for the Competitive Language Examinations had a  simultaneous interpreting training under the guidance of interpreters of the Russian section of the UN Interpretation Service in Vienna.

On February 18, Lari Kotilainen from the University of Helsinki, a linguist and lecturer of the Finnish language, gave an offline lecture at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of our University.

The meeting of the Vietnamese Club
The meeting of the Vietnamese Club was held in the office of the Russian-Vietnamese Friendship Society on the eve of Defender of the Motherland Day. Our university is a collective member of the Society. The meeting was attended not only by Russian and Vietnamese students of our university, but also Vietnamese students from other Moscow universities: Institute of Asia and African Countries at MSU, HSE and Military University.

MSLU at the Forum of Rectors of Russia and Cuba
Moscow State Linguistic University took part in the 13th International Congress of Higher Education "University and Innovations for Sustainable and Inclusive Development", which was held in Havana (Cuba) from February 7 to 11.

2022 Winter School of Russian Language and Culture: first session is over
From January 10 to 23, MSLU hosted the first session of the Winter School of Russian Language and Culture 2022 online.

II Forum of Rectors of Russia and Great Britain
On January 26, Moscow hosted the Second Forum of Rectors of Russian and British Universities.

Testing of the students of the Training Programme for Canditates for the Competitive Language Examinations
On January 21, the students of the programme, who have been studying since September 2021, sat the intermediate exams in simultaneous interpretationn from the first foreign language (English).

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia visits MSLU
On April 18, 2022, our university welcomed Greim Meehan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to the Russian Federation; Keith Pitcher, Second Secretary of the Australian Embassy, and Oleg Son, Political and Economic Section of Australian Embassy.

MSLU took part in SUN General Assembly
On September 29-30, 2021, MSLU rector and students took part in the General Assembly of SUN (The Silk-Road Universities Network), the partner of our university.
