In my third year, I had the opportunity to do an internship in France, and I spent nearly half a year - from January to June 2022 - in Paris, the capital of this beautiful country. For a whole term I studied at the Institut Catholique de Paris at the Faculty of Philology (Faculté des lettres). The university management allowed us to choose any disciplines to our liking, and we had the opportunity to attend all courses for the first two weeks before deciding.

I would like to express special gratitude to the teachers of this educational institution (among whom were not only the French, but also the British, Americans, etc.) who creating a friendly atmosphere in their classes and were always willing to answer any questions, as well as our curators from the MSLU International Cooperation Department. Many thanks to French students for their help in adaptation and organizing various events (a boat trip along the Seine River, a tour of the 11th arrondissement, and so on). It was exciting to study, and I was surrounded by French students as well as students from other countries - Spain, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, Norway, the USA, Brazil. Speaking about the difficulties, I can only mention the preparatory process of paperwork. There were also minor difficulties with the language in France, since French is our second foreign language, however, we successfully overcame this barrier after some time.

It was my first time in France, everything was new, unknown, tempting. I am very grateful for the opportunity to spend this term in Paris, to meet interesting people from different countries and learn about their culture, for the opportunity to practice French every day, which will undoubtedly help me both in my studies and in my future life.
