Delegation of the Republic of Cuba visits MSLU
On April 14th representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the Russian Federation met with the direction of MSLU. The Cuban delegation was headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Julio Antonio Garmendia Pena, a graduate of Moscow State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages.

“English Humour vs. American Humor” project gala concert
On April 23rd in the assembly hall of MSLU the closing gala concert of the university-wide linguistic and area studies project dedicated to British and American humour titled “English Humour vs. American Humor” was held.

Slovenian Embassy delegation visits MSLU

MSLU signs agreement with Italian Cultural Institute
On March 5th, 2021 the delegation from the Italian Cultural Institute of the Italian Embassy in Moscow, led by the Director of the Institute Daniela Rizzi, visited MSLU.

MSLU signs agreement with Argentinian TV company
On March 3rd, 2021 MSLU signed a cooperation Agreement with the Argentinian TV company “Asia TV”. In her welcoming speech rector of MSLU Irina Kraeva shared her ideas on the major directions of cooperation with the Argentinian partners, one of which can potentially be participation of professors in programs, dealing with relevant problems of international relations, and also about novelties in education, culture, art and science.

Interpreter of the European Commission held master classes
From 15 to 19 March 2021, Rita Nikolaeva, an expert translator and interpreter of the General Directorate for Interpretation of the European Commission, held a series of master classes for students of the Program for the UN Language Skills Training Programme at MSLU.

MSLU Up In QS World University Rankings By Subject
The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021    has been released, revealing the top universities for 51 different subjects across five broad subject areas. This year's ranking analyzed nearly 14,000 individual university programs from 1,440 universities across 85 locations around the world.

250 WIPO scholarships are awarded to MSLU students and academics
MSLU and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Academy  develop cooperation. This semester, WIPO awarded 250 scholarships to MSLU students and academics for the spring online course DL-450 Intellectual Property Management. It should be noted that MSLU is the only university in Russia that works with the online programs of the WIPO Academy.

MSLU launches cooperation with UNIDO
On January 25th Veronica Peshkova, one of seven goodwill ambassadors of UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization), delivered a speech at the academic council assembly of MSLU.

New project with the European Parliament
The Project Office for International Cooperation at the Moscow State University of Linguistics has recently been in active contact with colleagues from the Terminology Coordination Unit of the Directorate General for Translation of the European Parliament.

September 17: the Library of Foreign Literature named after M.I. Rudomino hosted a presentation of the book "7 Bulgarian stories, 7 Bulgarian writers, 7 student translators", a joint project of MSLU, the Bulgarian Cultural Institute and the Library of Foreign Literature.
