MSLU is a new member of the Association of Russian and Japanese universities

The III General Assembly of the Association of Universities of Russia and Japan and the IX Forum of Rectors of Russian and Japanese Universities took place on September 16 online. MSLU became a new member of the Association of Russian and Japanese universities. Our rector Irina Kraeva thanked the Assembly for the honour.Thus, the Association numbers 63 universities, namely 33 Russian and 30 Japanese higher education institutions.

Natalya Bocharova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, addressed the forum participants with a welcoming speech. She underlined that the interaction of Russian and Japanese universities is getting stronger, there are more than 600 agreements, memorandums and cooperation programmes between the universities of both countries. The Association of Universities of Russia and Japan makes a significant contribution to the development of cooperation between Russian and Japanese universities, in particular, to the development of inter-university programmes, procedures for mutual recognition of diplomas, and increasing academic mobility of students and professors.
