Visit to the Embassy of Vietnam

On October 1, the Vietnamese Embassy in Moscow hosted a friendly meeting of academic and management staff and students of Russian universities where the Vietnamese language is studied. The Embassy organized such an event for the first time.

Dang Minh Khoi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Russian Federation, said that the meeting was aimed at exchanging information and opinions on Vietnamese studies in Russia, sharing experience of Russian students undergoing internships in Vietnam and promoting closer ties between Russian universities and the Embassy. The meeting took place both in the building of the Embassy and in the format of an online conference, therefore, making it available for the Vietnamese language tutors from different parts of Russia.

Students of the 5th, 4th and 2nd years of the Faculty of Interpreting and Translation, studying the Vietnamese language, as well as experts of the Department of International Cooperation and Internationalization took an active part in the meeting. Hoang Thi Hong Hoa, a lecturer at the Faculty of Interpreting and Translation, spoke about teaching the Vietnamese language at MSLU, and also asked the Embassy to help organize internships for MSLU students in Vietnam in early 2022. During the meeting, students shared their impressions of the culture and the people of Vietnam, experience of internship in Vietnam, and also gave several interviews to the Vietnamese media.
