The Brazilian Ambassador to Russia visited MSLU

On July 8, Brazilian ambassador to Russia Rodrigo de Lima Baena Soares met the rector of MSLU Irina Kraeva at the university.

The meeting was also attended by the Second Secretary, Head of the Department of Science, Technology, Innovation and Environment Andre Joao Ripple and assistant to the Department of Science, Technology, Innovation and Environment, the Master’s graduate of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting Natalia Armash. The participants from MSLU included Irina Shokina, head of Department for International Cooperation and Internationalization, Ekaterina Pokholkova, dean of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, Ksenia Nechaeva, head of the Portuguese Language Department and Zoya Dolgikh, associate professor of the Portuguese Language Department.

The parties discussed prospects of scientific, creative and academic cooperation. MSLU is successfully collaborating with Brazil in the framework of mobility programmes for students and lecturers, taking part in scientific conferences, joint cultural and educational events. The key partners in this field are the University of Brasilia and the Federal University of Fluminense.

Mr. Ambassador also invited the MSLU delegation to the evening in honour of the 100th anniversary of modern art week in Brazil, which took place on July 14 at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. Irina Kraeva, Irina Shokina, Ekaterina Pokholkova and Ksenia Nechaeva attended the celebration.
