Programme Overview

As governments around the world grapple with a volatile international political landscape, there has never been a greater need for international experts in soft power, a critical foreign policy tool used used to align values, norms, objectives, and action through attraction and persuasion.The MA programme provides a sound professional training in the theory and practice of international relations, with special emphasis on “soft power”. The programme is desined to meet the demand of public authorities, businesses, and public organizations for specialists in soft power, expert and analytical activities, public opinion tracking and forecasting and effective global engagement. The analytical and research skills you develop through this course are widely sought after by employers, ranging from public authorities, local governments to business structures and the media.

Career paths can be pursued from socio-political, socio-cultural and economic sectors in Russia and abroad in

· research and promotion of domestic political culture by means of "soft power" in the domestic and foreign expert community, and public consciousness; preparation and implementation of projects to defend the national interests of the Russian Federation using the mechanisms of "soft power"
