Shandong Professional University of Foreign Affairs Colleagues at MSLU

On August 30, Sun Yue, Deputy Director of the Russian Center of Shandong Professional University of Foreign Affairs, and Yana Rytnikova, Director of the Russian Center of Shandong Professional University of Foreign Affairs, visited MSLU. On behalf of the university, the guests were greeted by Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Internationalization Irina Shokina, Dean of the Translation and Interepreting Faculty Ekaterina Pokholkova, Acting Head of the Department of Russian and Foreign Literature Yulia Chernova and Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Regional Studies Maria Mokhovikova.

The representatives of both universities discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of the agreement signed in May 2024. One of the areas of cooperation is the mutual exchange of students, which may take place as early as the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. The parties also discussed a short-term exchange of teachers. MSLU inived colleagues from Shandong Professional University of Foreign Affairs to give lectures addressed to MSLU students studying Chinese.

Since the translation of modern children's literature is currently in demand, the parties discussed the possible organization of a joint competition for the translation of thematic books.

Currently, ten students are studying Russian as a foreign language at Shandong Professional University of Foreign Affairs.

Representatives of both universities expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
