Meeting with representatives of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow

On July 11, 2024, the scientific adviser of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow, Hadi Gudarzi, and other representatives of the embassy visited MSLU.

They were greeted by director of the Center for Persian Language and Culture of Iran, associate professor of the Department of Oriental Languages ​​of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, Honored Professor Alexander Polishchuk and senior lecturer of the Department of Oriental Languages ​​Vladimir Koklikov, as well as MSLU students.

Mr. Hadi Gudarzi got acquainted with the work of the Center for Persian Language and Culture of Iran MSLU and learned about the work of teaching the Persian language to our students. Mr. Hadi Gudarzi said that academic mobility of students from MSLU and Iranian universities has a positive effect on the level of knowledge of Persian and Russian languages ​​and contributes to a better acquaintance of students from both countries with the culture.

Alexander Polishchuk particularly focused on the difficulties associated with obtaining a visa to Iran for our students. Embassy staff, together with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressed their readiness to assist in the development and maintenance of the Persian language abroad, and academic mobility in this regard promised to reduce the time required for obtaining the necessary documents.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow had a conversation with students studying the Persian language and noted their high language skills.
