Linguist from Finland at MSLU


On February 18, Lari Kotilainen from the University of Helsinki, a linguist and lecturer of the Finnish language, gave an offline lecture at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of our University. The main content of the lecture concerned the phonetic and lexical processes taking place in the modern Finnish language. The event was attended not only by students of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, the Institute of International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences, but also students and teachers from Moscow State University, MGIMO, the Diplomatic Academy, the Scandinavian School and Finnish language specialists from St. Petersburg - about sixty listeners in total. The working language of the meeting was Finnish. The lecture was held with the invaluable support of the Finnish Embassy. A recording of the event will be posted on the Embassy's YouTube channel.
