Testing of the students of the Training Programme for Canditates for the Competitive Language Examinations

On January 21, the students of the programme, who have been studying since September 2021, sat the intermediate exams in simultaneous interpretation from the first foreign language (English). 

The examiners were Irina Shokina,head of the Programme; Elena Bavarova, head tutor of the Programme; Aleksey Fedorov, adviser to the Minister of the Linguistic Support Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Nikolai Telnov, a UN translator with thirty years of experience. 

The students were interpreting the speech of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. As the speech was interpreted off the cuff, the exam was very close to real working conditions.
