MSLU Meets NBU Delegation

On June 20, 2019, MSLU Rector Irina A.Kraeva together with other university officials hosted a delegation from the New Bulgarian University (NBU), Sofia, MSLU’s partner university.

In her welcoming address, Rector I. Kraeva emphasized the fast-developing cooperation with NBU and encouraged the parties to continue and expand partnership.

MSLU and NBU delegations discussed future cooperation between the universities, including two Diploma programmes for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in the new study areas of Information Security, Business Communication, and Translation and Interpreting Studies

In 2002, MSLU and NBU signed a cooperation agreement on faculty and students exchange. Under the agreement, in the 2003-2004 academic year, NBU helped MSLU to open a Bulgarian Studies Programme (Bulgarian Language, Culture and Literature). Since then it annually sends its faculty to MSLU to give lectures, conduct lessons of Bulgarian language and culture, and translation and interpreting classes between Bulgarian and Russian.
