Ambassador of Venezuela Visits MSLU

On 9 June, Moscow State Linguistic University welcomed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela Jesús Rafael Salazar Velásquez, accompanied by Brian Ramírez, Cultural and Education Attaché of the Embassy of Venezuela.

The diplomats met with Georgi Grachev, MSLU Vice-Rector for International Affairs. The meeting was also attended by representatives of MSLU’s international, academic, and cultural units, as well as faculty members of the Department of Spanish Language and Translation. The participants discussed prospects for cooperation between MSLU and Venezuelan universities, including opportunities for Venezuelan students to study at MSLU and the development of academic mobility programmes.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador presented MSLU’s Information and Library Centre with a collection of poems by Tarek William Saab, a Venezuelan poet and politician. He also signed the MSLU Guest Book and took part in a guided tour of the University.
