MSLU at the 7th Forum of Rectors of Russian and Cuban Universities

MSLU Rector Irina Kraeva took part in the 7th Forum of Rectors of Russian and Cuban Universities, held on 9 October at the Fundamental Library of Moscow State University. During the event, she signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Camagüey.

The Cuban delegation was led by Walter Baluja García, Minister of Higher Education of the Republic of Cuba. The forum also brought together Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia; Konstantin Mogilevskiy, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia; and Julio Antonio Garmendia Peña, Ambassador of Cuba to Russia.

In her presentation, “MSLU–Cuba Cooperation: A Story That Continues,” Irina Kraeva highlighted the long-standing partnership between MSLU and Cuban institutions. She noted that the university not only continues to train translators and Spanish-language teachers but is also expanding joint initiatives in information science, cybersecurity and international hospitality management.

For the seventh time, the Forum of Rectors affirmed its role as a key platform for dialogue between Russia and Cuba in education and research. This year, around 60 university leaders and scholars discussed new opportunities for collaboration in academic exchange, joint research and innovation.
