MSLU Celebrates Confucius Institute Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival

On 24 October, MSLU hosted a celebration dedicated to the International Day of Confucius Institutes and the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. The event was organized by the Chinese International Education Foundation, MSLU and the Confucius Institute at MSLU.

Students and teachers of MSLU, the Confucius Institute and the Pre-University College gathered to mark this vibrant international occasion. The audience was welcomed by Inara Guseinova, MSLU Vice-Rector, followed by greetings from Zhang Hongjian, Third Secretary of the Embassy of China in Russia, and the Confucius Institute Co-Directors Andrey Seleznev and Mei Chuncai.

The official part was followed by a two-hour concert featuring performances by MSLU students, Confucius Institute learners and Pre-University College pupils. The programme included both classical and contemporary Chinese pieces, offering guests a deeper introduction to China’s musical traditions.

The celebration highlighted how cultural exchange and shared artistic experiences help strengthen mutual understanding between the peoples of China and Russia.
