Chinese Delegation Visits MSLU to Strengthen Educational Cooperation

On June 25, a delegation from the Chinese International Education Foundation (CIEF) and the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in Russia visited Moscow State Linguistic University.

The delegation was led by Yang Wei, President of CIEF, academician, and professor at Zhejiang University, and Cao Shihai, Minister-Counselor and Head of the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in Russia. The program included a visit to the Confucius Institute at MSLU, meetings with its directors Andrey Seleznyov and Mei Chuncai, an official discussion with MSLU leadership, and a campus tour.

MSLU was represented by First Vice-Rector Larisa Petruchak, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Educational Work Innara Guseynova, and Head of International Cooperation Irina Shokina, among others. The sides highlighted the importance of Chinese language studies at MSLU, the growing dynamics of student exchanges, and expressed mutual appreciation for ongoing cooperation in the humanities.

The upcoming 15th anniversary of the Confucius Institute at MSLU in 2026 was also discussed. At the end of the visit, Yang Wei left a message in the university’s Book of Honor, wishing MSLU prosperity.
