MSLU Hosts First Conference under the China–Russia Alliance for Language Education

On May 28, MSLU held the international conference “Linguistic Education in Russian and Chinese Universities: Approaches, Technologies, Practices” — the first event organized within the China–Russia Alliance for Language Education. The conference brought together 28 leading humanities universities from Russia, China, and Belarus in a hybrid format.

Experts in Russian and Chinese studies, including scholars, educators, and young researchers, took part in panel discussions on Chinese language theory and translation, modern teaching methods, and Russian as a foreign language.

The event opened with a keynote address by Wang Jingbo, President of Heilongjiang University — a long-time partner of MSLU and co-organizer of the conference. Established in 2023 by both institutions, the Alliance now includes nearly 70 universities across Russia and China.

The conference and official meetings strengthened humanitarian ties between Russia and China, contributing to a shared academic space in linguistics and deepening friendship through dialogue, collaboration, and new ideas.
