One of the key events in the series of celebratory events within the framework of the anniversary was the Forum "Technology, Language, Higher Education for Human Progress", which brought together representatives from over 30 Chinese and foreign universities, who presented reports on the most pressing issues of higher education such as New Knowledge Systems and Civilization Dialogue, Artificial Intelligence Empowering Teaching and Research Higher Education, High-Quality International Educational Cooperation and People-to-People Exchange. Larisa Petruchak's speech was devoted to the international experience of MSLU in the development of linguistic education in a multipolar world.
Shanghai International Studies University is the first higher education institution in China specializing in the study of foreign languages and cultures, which was opened immediately after the founding of the PRC. Today, the university is one of the largest and most famous linguistic centers in the country, where instruction is provided in 54 foreign languages.
MSLU and Shanghai International Studies University have been linked by more than 35 years of cooperation and friendship. Our universities annually implement a student exchange program within the framework of an inter-university agreement, and also invite students to summer school programs and courses in Russian and Chinese as a foreign language.
