Russia and the World in the Research Field of Regional Studies: The MSLU Conference "Russia and the Regions of the World: Contours of the Future"

From March 27 to 29, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Russia and the Regions of the World: Contours of the Future" was held at MSLU. The event was organized by the Department of Foreign Regional Studies of the Institute of International Relations and Social and Political Sciences of MSLU.

At the opening plenary session, Vice-Rector for International Activities, Vladimir Storozhev, and Director of the Institute of International Relations and Social and Political Sciences, Dmitry Belyakov, greeted the participants. The work of the sections covered a wide range of the most pressing problems of the modern international agenda: political and economic aspects of decolonization in the 21st century, the main trends and prospects for the development of the modern world, factors and forms of transformation of the Eurasian space and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the peculiarities of Russia's relations with the collective West.

At the conference, leading experts in the field of political sciences as well as young researchers and students of relevant fields presented their findings. The conference brought together more than 120 participants from 35 leading educational and scientific organizations in Russia and abroad.
