On September 21, Moscow State Linguistic University, represented by Rector Irina Kraeva, signed a number of cooperation agreements with Cuban universities: the University of Havana, represented by Rector Miriam Nicado Garcia, as well as the University of Information Sciences of Havana (UCI) in the person of its rector Raidel Montesino Perurena. The agreements were signed within the framework of the Fifth Forum of University Rectors of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Cuba.
The topic of MSLU rector`s speech at the Forum was “MSLU-Cuba: new joint projects in the field of education and science.” She noted that at present cooperation with Cuba is a priority for Russia. MSLU is actively developing cooperation with Cuban universities both in our traditional areas - training translators, interpreters and teachers of the Spanish language, but also in new areas - in the field of information sciences, information security and tourism.
The fifth Rectors' Forum continues the successful tradition of cooperation between Russia and Cuba in the field of education and science. Over the years, the forum has become an effective platform for discussing current issues of humanitarian educational relations between Russia and Cuba. About 70 rectors and representatives of higher educational institutions, scientific and academic circles take part in the Forum.
