Summer School of Russian Language and Culture Starts
On August 7, the Summer School of the Russian Language and Culture 2023 began at Moscow State Linguistic University. It has been held by the Department for International Cooperation and Internationalization for 5 years now, without any break even during COVID-19, since it was conducted online. The life and soul of the project all these years has been Anna Fedorova, head of the Department of International Relations and Support for Educational and Scientific Mobility Programs.
For three weeks, students from China, Turkey, Italy and Spain will not only attend Russian language classes, but also take part in a cultural excursion program. In just the first three days of their stay, our guests have already managed to get acquainted with the rich history of our university with the help of the curator of the history of our university, assistant to rector for educational and historical-patriotic work Nadezhda Danilova. A tour of the most beautiful streets of Moscow, Ostozhenka and Prechistenka, and nearby streets was conducted by Roman Trofimov, Director of the Center for Tour Guides and Hospitality, and professional guide Yulia Belova, professor of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, showed our guests the center of the capital — the Red Square, Zaryadye, and the Historical Museum. The highlight of the tour was the best ice cream in the country in GUM.
There are even more interesting places and sights of our city waiting for the participants of the Summer School. As well as clesses and lecturers.
