On September 29, as part of the events commemorating International Translation Day, MSLU and the Azerbaijan Youth Translators Association (AGTA) signed a cooperation agreement.
The agreement aims to implement joint projects, organize internships and exchange programs and other initiatives that will promote stronger international and intercultural collaboration. The agreement was signed by Rector Irina Kraeva on behalf of MSLU, and by the Association’s Vice-Chairman Ali Ahmadov on behalf of AGTA.
After the signing ceremony which took place in the Azerbaijani language and culture Center, Ali Ahmadov had a meeting with MSLU students of the Azerbaijani language and told them about the current realities and the development prospects of the translation industry in the Republic of Azerbaijan; potential joint projects between Russian and Azerbaijani students, he also answered the students’ questions. The meeting and the signing ceremony were organized with the support of the MSLU Translation and Interpreting Faculty, Board for International Cooperation and Internationalization, International Cooperation Project Office, Career Development Center and Professional and Life Skills Development Center.
