MSLU and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco discuss prospects for cooperation

On August 25, Mr. Cherkaoui Jaouad Monsif, Deputy Head of Mission, Plenipotentiary Minister of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco paid a visit to MSLU.

First of all, Innara Huseynova, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy, Irina Shokina, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Internationalization, Natalya Egorova, Director of the International Center for Francophone Studies, Head of the UNESCO Chair, and Ekaterina Pokholkova, Dean of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, were thrilled to hear the fluent Russian language of our guest.

Those present at the meeting discussed the cooperation of the Kingdom with Russian universities, specifically with humanitarian universities. According to the representative of Morocco, MSLU is known throughout the world as a university that trains highly qualified specialists who are in high demand in the Maghreb countries. He said that he personally communicated with graduates of the university and can confirm their high qualifications. Mr. Monsif also added that the Kingdom is interested in developing academic mobility, in particular, in the University of Casablanca, where the Russian language is being successfully studied. Respectively, MSLU students studying French and Arabic, will surely benefit from internships to Morocco.

According to Mr. Monsif, representatives of the Kingdom could be involved in teaching students audiovisual translation, which could later be part of their graduation theses.
