MSLU Student Passed the UN Interpreter Global Language Roster Exam
Victoria Tuchina, graduate of the Training Program for the Preparation for Candidates for the Competitive Language Examinations
, student of the MSLU Translation and Interpreting Department, successfully passed the UN Interpreter Global Language Roster Exam for working in the Russian Section of the UN Interpretation Service.
She became the sixth graduate of the program who was enrolled in the UN roster to work on a freelance basis.
In June 2019 the UN Deputy Secretary General for General Assembly Affairs and Conference Management Movses Abelyan and MSLU Rector Irina Kraeva signed a Memorandum of Understanding
between the UN and MSLU regarding cooperation in the field of preparing candidates for participation in competitive examinations.
The program trains selected graduate students of the MSLU Translation and Interpreting Department, as well as practicing translators and interpreters with specialized education, for competitive UN language exams.
