Rectors’ Forum of Shanghai Cooperation Organization University

March 21, 2021 saw an online Rectors’ Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) University. The meeting was attended by representatives of the head universities of the SCO University, including the Rector of Moscow State Linguistic University Irina Krayeva and the Director of the Project Office for International Cooperation Olga Egorova, who coordinates the implementation of the project at the university.
 
The Rector of the MSLU addressed the forum participants with a report on the prospects for developing a network cooperation at the SCO University in the “Regional Studies”, a priority direction of ​​studies. Irina Krayeva stated that over the years the Shanghai Cooperation Organization University has worked, the partner countries have managed to achieve significant results in cooperation in the field of education. The Rector referred the elaboration of a mechanism for the exchange of highly qualified staff and students within the framework of the SCO, the introduction of tools for the exchange of experience and information between universities, and the tradition of holding joint scientific conferences to the significant achievements.
 
Today, the SCO is an international organization of multidisciplinary cooperation in politics, economics and humanitarian issues. Within a relatively short period of time, the SCO has become a highly respected integration association capable of solving global problems.
