Finnish Linguist Lari Kotilainen Reads Lecture at MSLU

On February 18, Finnish linguist Lari Kotilainen from the University of Helsinki gave a lecture at MSLU’s translation department in the traditional offline format.

His lecture focused on the phonetic and lexical processes occurring in the modern Finnish language. All in all, there were 60 attendees who included not only students from the Translation Department and the Institute of International Relations and Social and Political Sciences, but also students and teachers from Moscow State University, MGIMO, the Diplomatic Academy, "Scandinavian School", as well as Finnish language specialists from St Petersburg.

The working language of the meeting was Finnish. The lecture was supported by the Embassy of Finland.
