MSLU at the Forum “Universities and the Future”

On April 17, 2024, MSLU rector Irina Kraeva and head of the department of international cooperation and internationalization Irina Shokina took part in the Forum “Universities and the Future” held at the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The current meeting of rectors and representatives of leading universities in the countries of the Eurasian space is taking place in the year of the Russian Federation's presidency in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Among the priorities of the chairmanship, large-scale tasks have been identified to increase academic and scientific mobility, develop interuniversity connections, and expand teaching exchanges.

Members of the Council of the Eurasian University Association, the largest and most authoritative association of universities in the Eurasian space, took part in the Forum. Moscow State Linguistic University joined the Association in 2007. Over More than 100 rectors and university representatives from Russia, China, Vietnam, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Egypt and other countries represented their universities.

The forum participants discussed current problems and prospects for cooperation in education and university science in the Eurasian space, exchanged experience of interaction and areas of joint activities to deepen and develop international relations in the field of education, science and mutual coordination in order to develop specific areas of activity for the future of universities and all humanity.
